Locations - Folly Bridge

"But nothing has ever been added, so nothing can have been needed, and Oxford Station, in its static perfection, will be there to greet him as now, when the proverbial stranger comes to gaze on ruins of Christ Church from a broken arch of Folly Bridge."

[left] The name, Folly, is taken from the tower of a castle just beyond the bridge. The original tower has been replaced.

Just to the right of the spot from which the photo was taken there is a long tree-lined walk to Christ Church College.

[right] Punts for hire on the north side of Folly Bridge.
